Ephemeral illustration based on a found object.
This project is an illustrated portrait and subsequent sewing pattern. I was inspired to create an ephemeral work based on a hand sewn baby doll from 1988 that I found at a thrift store.
I wanted to explore how a very physical representation of a memory, in this case the doll, can be taken apart and created anew in a more lasting way.
