Illustrated and hand bound book based on a collection of road-trip stories.
This is a hand bound book I created based on the stories collected during a two week long road trip from Minnesota to California in the summer of 2021.
Each page has an illustration of the campground or landscape of the the area at which each event occurred, the vellum sheet in front of each illustration has a one word descriptor of the event. On the backside of each illustration is a short comment on the event.
I was able to explore the intricacies of bookbinding and combine organic materials (naturally pressed paper) to create a physical account of a nature bound trip.
