Figurative charcoal drawing on toned paper.

This work was inspired by the way in which women’s fear is used in media, particularly how this fear is often sexualized and monetized. Each mouth on the head of this figure is based on the screaming mouth of famous horror actresses in Hollywood, such as Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho”.
